Every set has a coach behind it.

At Collective of Edinburgh, no member trains alone — a certified coach is present in every session, on every floor, every day.

Built Around Guided Training

Most gyms hand you a key fob and a floor plan. Collective of Edinburgh works differently. From the moment you walk in on day one, you're assigned a primary coach who tracks your progress, adjusts your programming, and checks in week to week. Our 6,200-square-foot space on West 29th Street was designed with coaching bays, open lifting platforms, and a stretch-and-mobility corridor — all arranged so a coach can move between members without breaking rhythm. The sand-olive palette of the interior isn't just aesthetic; it signals that this is a calm, deliberate space, not a high-stimulation noise factory. We built Collective of Edinburgh for people who want results, accountability, and a team that remembers their name.

What Sets Every Session Apart

Four pillars that define the Collective of Edinburgh training experience.

Assigned Head Coach

Every member is matched with a dedicated head coach at sign-up. Your coach reviews your intake assessment, sets your first four-week block, and holds a 15-minute check-in every month — so your programming never goes stale.

Structured Class Schedule

Thirty-two weekly class slots across five formats — Strength Foundations, HIIT Circuit, Mobility & Recovery, Olympic Lifting Intro, and Conditioning Intervals — built so members can attend three to five times a week without repeating the same stimulus.

Full Open-Gym Access

All membership tiers include unrestricted open-gym hours. Squat racks, cable stations, a dedicated kettlebell area, and competition-spec bumper plates are available every morning from 6 a.m. — no reservation needed outside of peak coaching windows.

Progress Tracking Built In

Every member gets a digital training log maintained by their coach. Lift data, body composition notes, and benchmark times are recorded after each assessment block, giving you a concrete before-and-after picture at 30, 60, and 90 days.

I joined in January after two years of going to a big-box gym and getting nowhere. By March, I had added 35 lbs to my deadlift and finally understood how to program a deload week. The difference is having Marcus check my form on every set — not just when I ask.

What I didn't expect was how much I'd appreciate the layout. The coaching bays mean your coach is never more than 20 feet away during a session. It sounds small, but it changes how hard you push when someone who knows your numbers is watching.
